Bridget-Dujardin-Owner

Bridget Dujardin, MS, OTR/L

Founder & Owner

Founder and Owner Bridget is the director of Boston Sensory Solutions, Inc. She is an accomplished occupational therapist who has 25 years of experience working directly with children and adults who experience a wide variety of challenges in their daily lives. Bridget has a BA in Psychology from Boston College and an MS in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University. Her professional interests include sensory processing and self-regulation, as well as supporting families to implement sensory diet activities. When not in the clinic, Bridget enjoys spending time with her own family, reading, and playing on the beach with her husband, 3 school-aged daughters, and chocolate lab, Chip.

Nicole Wilson

Clinic Manager

Nicole is the clinic manager at Boston Sensory Solutions, Inc.  She brings a wealth of experience in scheduling, health insurance, and management of a busy clinical setting.  As the mother of young twin boys, she demonstrates compassion towards all of the parents and children in our practice.  She truly walks in your shoes!!  Nicole studied motor development therapy Bridgewater State University, bringing her knowledge to this clinical setting.   She has a professional interest in securing out of network reimbursement from insurance companies.

JESSICA MCKENNA, MS, OTR/L

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Intake Coordinator

Jess has been a pediatric OT since earning her Master’s degree in OT from West Virginia University in 2009.  She holds a BA in Health & Human Performance, also from WVU.  She has worked in a variety of settings including pediatric occupational therapy clinics,  public & private schools, and early intervention.  She was an assistant professor in OT at WVU and currently provides training in sensory processing and emotional regulation to parents.  and teachers.  Professionally, she is interested in supporting families to integrate sensorimotor and executive functioning strategies into their home lives for greater independence in daily routines.  

Jessica Dowd MS, OTR/L

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Jess is a pediatric occupational therapist who has been with Boston Sensory Solutions since 2019, following four years at a private sensory OT clinic in Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Southern California with her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Prior to that, Jess earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from UMASS-Amherst. Professionally, Jess values the collaboration between therapist, child, and family to support children in building skills in emotional regulation, planning, and executive functioning, and sensorimotor development through the most important childhood activity- play! She also enjoys supporting new therapists in her role as a clinical supervisor and helping to keep the clinic organized, thanks to her Type A personality 😉 Outside of the clinic, Jess can be found spending time with her family, friends, and dog (Garth), hiking, camping, crafting, and enjoying the seashore of Cape Cod 🙂

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Shanli earned a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University at Buffalo in 2018. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from Syracuse University in 2013. Shanli has experience working as an occupational therapist in public schools and in the outpatient pediatric setting. She enjoys supporting children in developing fine motor, visual motor, visual perceptual, executive functioning, sensorimotor, and self-regulation skills to facilitate participation and independence in all aspects of home, community, and school life.  Shanli is currently a full-time OT in a local public school district and works per diem with Boston Sensory Solutions.

Claire Marden, MOT, OTR/L

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Claire has been a pediatric occupational therapist since earning her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Temple University in 2017. Prior to becoming an OT, Claire  received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Colby College in 2012 and worked for several years supporting children and their families in home and school settings. Claire has experience working as an OT in both Early Intervention and a Therapeutic School settings. Claire is passionate about helping children develop their gross motor, fine motor, and self-regulation skills in a strengths-based manner to foster independence and confidence in their authentic selves. She strongly believes that close collaboration with each child’s family and support team is integral to achieving their goals. Outside of being an OT, Claire is a mother of two young sons and an avid runner who loves being outside.

Emily Tierney, MS, OTR/L

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Emily is a pediatric occupational therapist with extensive experience working in outpatient clinics. Emily earned her B.S. in Health Behavior Science from the University of Delaware and her M.S. in Occupational Therapy from Springfield College. Previously, Emily worked in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing facilities and schools, in addition to outpatient pediatrics. She is passionate about supporting children and their families and loves making therapy fun and playful. Emily enjoys working with all age groups from toddlerhood through the young adult transitional years! Emily has a strong background in treatment approaches related to developmental, neurological, genetic, and sensory processing-related diagnoses. Her professional interests include self-regulation, executive functioning, feeding, and motor development. Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending her time with her family, exploring Boston, and being active outdoors.

Jenalee Hackett, COTA/L

Jenalee Hackett, COTA/L

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Jenalee is a skilled, certified occupational therapy assistant. She earned her OT degree from Keiser University in Tampa, FL. Prior to becoming an occupational therapy practitioner, Jenalee earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Human Development at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. Jenalee was inspired to pursue a specialized degree in Occupational Therapy while working at New England Center for Children.  There, Jenalee supported autistic children in specialized residential-educational programs.   

Once becoming a COTA, Jenalee focused her career in outpatient pediatrics.  She gained clinical experience with children who live with SPD, ASD, ADHD, and a variety of other neurological and sensorimotor diagnoses.  Jenalee has clinical interests and expertise working with children and teens who have trauma histories, as well as emotional regulation and sensory processing challenges. 

Jenalee loves collaborating with caregivers and family members to help a child reach their full potential. Her child-centered, play-based approach to therapy is a strength of her clinical work.  In her spare time, Jenalee enjoys walking, running, and can be found anywhere near the water (beach, boat, kayak, you name it! ), as well as spending time with her close-knit family.

KATHLEEN FLAHERTY

Kathleen Flaherty

Developmental Specialist and Group Leader

Kathleen Flaherty joins Boston Sensory Solutions as a Developmental Specialist and Group Leader. She brings more than 30 years of experience in the Human Service field. Kathleen’s passion is working with parents and families who are supporting their children through a variety of developmental challenges. One of the most fulfilling aspects of her work has been coordinating and supporting Parent Groups. Through these groups, parents share resources, build relationships with others and find hope – and humor!- together.
Kathleen is looking forward to bringing these skills to Boston Sensory Solutions, where she will expand our parent resources, as we work to support our families in navigating the day to day responsibilities of being a busy parent!
Kathleen was born and raised in Dorchester, where she still resides with her husband and her beloved cat, Patrick, both of whom make her laugh daily. Kathleen loves to travel, read, and spend time with her many young nieces and nephews.
